Summer is almost over yet some of us haven't enjoyed the season yet. In fact, I was one of the unfortunate. Some might lack in budget, lack of free time, and some might have cross hapless circumstances. There are lots of reason we cannot enjoy Summer.

However, if the problem is about distance, you no longer have to worry.
In Mactan, you can find many exquisite resorts at an affordable rate. One of them is the well-known Maribago Bluewater Resort.

I remember the day when my bestfriend asks me to join them at the resort.  At first, I was hesitant cause I am not appreciative in term of hotels and resorts. Since I was living nearby, I decided to join them.

As a traveler, I've been to many beaches and I don't find this one astounding. Unlike in Bantayan Island, the sand isn't ghostly. There are countless of seaweeds and sea urchins in the water.

The resort isn't bad at all. They have an artificial islet across where I found surprisingly impressive. The sand is white as chalk. Artificial of course! We cross by the use of a small 'banka' accompanied by a hotel staff. They have a gratifying pool where we stayed for the rest of the time.

Summer is almost over but the fun never ends.

If you are planning to unwind this weekend I personally advise Vista Mar. A Spanish-inspired resort situated at Mactan, Lapu-lapu City. The place is very accessible either from Cebu City or from Mactan International Airport. The place is swarmed with brilliantly smiling staffs whom is very grateful to accommodate your needs. They have a lot of promotions that will surely fit your budget.

Personally, I had lived in Mactan for about 2 months but I really have no idea this paradise exist just a walking-distance from our apartment. When we went there with my fellow Toastmasters for a day-tour for our team building I was very mystified by the place.

They have number of pools. The dining place is very likely. The beach is blessed with fine grain of white sand. The seawater is so crystal blue that is comparable to the pools they have. While swimming on the pool, you can enjoy the beauty of the horizon. The famous Olango Island is also visible from the place.

If you are asking for the price for the day-tour, I suggest to visit the place by weekend since it's much cheaper compare to weekdays. the fee is inclusive with a buffet and the usage of the pool.

Weekdays : P 600 / person

Weekends: P 500 / person

The food is also Spanish - inspired. Well I'm not very good at food tasting but I guess it's somehow taste like Spanish just basing the spices they use. If you are in a team, it's more advantage if your numbers is about 30 - 50 since they will prepare an inclusive buffet and they prepare an exclusive place for you. Our experience was we are only around 20 pax so our food are served in plates already but we are still entitled of place exclusive for us. They also prepare the stage and the sound systems.

How to get there? If you are from Cebu City, ride a jeepney from Hi-way Mandaue which route is going to Mactan or Soong. Then, ask the driver to drop you by the Mactan New Town. There is a small road beside the Mactan New Town where you can ride Tricycles going to the entrance of the resort. If you prefer less struggle, then hire a taxi! Have a great stay there!

Sagbayan, Bohol - After we visit the famous Chocolate Hills of Bohol, we are so excited to meet the cute little creature that can only be found in the island. Nothing else but the cutest monkey ever, the Tarsiers. A place located in Sagbayan, Bohol has this mountain resort called Sagbayan Peak. It's also an amusement park where kids and feeling kids can enjoy. Check out what you can do at the park on the list below:

8 Things you must experience

1. Fly with the butterflies - Be Amaze with their butterfly dome

2. Shout out loud on top - Plan your romantic proposal on their viewing deck on top while romantic music playing on the background.

3. Tweet with #birds - Different kind of Birds and a what-so-ever.

From Cebu, buy a ticket for a Cebu - Tubigon trip via Starcraft from either pier 1 or pier 3. Regular ticket cost P210 but if you like to upgrade to business class it would cost P280. Then, once you arrived at Tubigon Port take a walk to the terminal and look for a bus to Sagbayan which will cost you around P30. Tell the bus driver to stop you by Sagbayan Peak entrance. Entrance Fee for Sagbayan Peak is P50. See? It won't cost you much ... So hurry and pack your things now. #LaagPaMore

"Looking for a place for your team-building? Gatherings or a venue for an event?"

There are such beautiful places all over Cebu to unwind and celebrate your gatherings. But we are talking about the accessibility of the place. Cebu Westown Lagoon is always been in the options!

A place you've never expected in the heart of the city. Who wouldn't be amazed of a resort in the city? Cebu Westown Lagoon is located in Mandaue City just beside the MO2 Restobar. They have pools for both kids and adults. Main attraction is the slides which will make your heart skip for a moment. Also don't miss their very relaxing Jacuzzi which structure is somewhat like Greek inspired. I felt like being cooked while soaking in the bubbling warm or shall I say very hot boiling water! They also have playground for kids!

Now lets talk about 'gastos'. You may not rent cottages cause I guess it will cost much. When we went there we are provided with tables and chairs which is also good and the best thing its free. Entrance fee to the resort is P300. I'm not sure about kids cause I don't have one!

Corkage? This has always been a problem. Well YES! They have corkage BUT only for Lechon and hard drinks. But I'm gonna share you a trick how to by pass corkage fee. For Lechon you may just chopped outside and keep it in plastics or any food keepers. You may also want the boneless lechon it won't give you hassl. For hard drinks? Put them in the pitcher and you're set . Check out my pictures below!
