Inabanga River is the largest river in the island of Bohol that runs about 25 kilometers long. It's beauty is comparable to the famous Loboc river that can be found in same island. The mesmerizing turquoise-green water will surely encourage you to jump. The river is surrounded by tall tress that made it look like you are in Jurassic Park. People can be seen taking a dip and enjoying the water where mostly are children . Some are seen fishing with their little 'banka' (boat).

During our visit, we trekked the side of the river until we reach the 'Mercado' (Public Market). There are paths already so it won't be hard to trek and less possibility of getting lost.

But what amaze me the most is the history of the said river. According to history, the river is infested with crocodiles but nevertheless the people still goes to the river to take a bathe in its waters. Imagine how brave Boholanos are. Every year, life is always lost either getting drown or being swallowed by the fierce reptiles. People a long time ago are very superstitious and came to believe the incidents are 'abang' (rental) for the user of the water. Eventually, the river is called 'Inabangan River' (Rented River) and later changed to 'Inabanga River' after the Spaniards arrived since it's easier to pronounce compare to 'Inabangan'.

How to get there:

Take the Tubigon trip via Starcraft from either pier 1 or pier 3 in Cebu. Ticket only cost P210 for the economy class and P280 for the business class. Once you arrived at Tubigon Port ride a bus to the town of Inabanga which will cost you around P20. Once, you arrived at the town ask the locals for the direction to the river.

"I've Never Met a Chocolate I didn't like. This includes the famous Chocolate Hills of Bohol."

Bohol, Philippines - Ever since I was young I really dream of seeing the famous chocolate hills of Bohol with my own naked eyes. And it totally  saddens me when a great earthquake hits Bohol last October 2013. And has caused damage to one of the Philippines most famous tourist spot.

Lately, we visited the famous chocolate hills in Carmen, Bohol. As usual, P50 entrance fee will be collected upon entering the spot. To feel the adventure I suggest that you should climb to the top. Upon reaching the top, I was surprised that the hills are very okay that seems like they haven't been affected by quakes. Thanks to nature's ability to heal itself. It's actually the grasses that covers the entire hills. And YES, chocolate hills are still worth visiting for.

Upon arriving the spot, get prepare for a 214 step to reach the viewing deck ...
Then picture taking ... or simply take a groupfie!
