Dalaguete Beach Park : Why you should NOT visit?

Dalaguete, Cebu - The home of the famous trekking site "The Osmeña Peak". Dalaguete is also the vegetable basket of Cebu since majority source of the vegetables is from here. The town is located south of Cebu and can be access by Bus which will cost you from P90 to P100 from Cebu City.

When speaking of Dalaguete, people would think of mountain areas, vegetables or forests. Actually, they also have beaches. the most popular is the DALAGUETE BEACH PARK located at Brgy. Casay. I've read a lot of good feedbacks from other bloggers regarding the place. Specifically from Hannah Of iJuanderCebu. But when we visit the place, my experience was totally different.

We reach the place via a motorcycle or commonly known as habal-habal. The fare from the main road is P20 although its a walking distance. Then you have to pay for the entrance fee of P20 per person. You can also rent rotten cottages or tables which will cost you P260 for the cottage and P160 for the table. Sorry for being rude on the description. It's just the park has not been well-maintained. No wonder since the park is owned by Government but how come its not free. People of the Philippines will know why.

During our visit there are no other people aside from us and another group. The place is very solemn and perfect for relaxation but don't expect for a bench. There is none. Also they have a long area of white sand where you can have your team building activities. The sand is white in fairness ...

If you'd like to rinse with fresh water, that would be another P20. What I hated the most is when my colleagues have to change clothes we are instructed by the personnel to use the CR at a distant. Yes! It's really far and to think they are wet so we came up to use the towels / malongs to cover as walls. But to our surprise the staffs of the resort including the security guards are trying to peak on my colleagues. HORRIBLE! So if I'm to rate the beach is not that unique so it would be 1 out of 5 stars.
